Entertainment on the Trip:

Most events on the trip were entertaining, for this section I will only be talking about the leftover pieces of entertainment that have not been discussed in full before.

Dance

Breifly mentioned in the culture page was Dance. This was one of the events on the trip I was most interested in. Formerly being a dance teacher before college I have always enjoyed seeing the local traditional style of dance in these countries. The traditional dance in this country was very fast paced with a large focus on leg movement, the upper body was used as well however the leg movement was definitely the most difficult part of it. Men wore all black clothing with the pants being tucked under black leather shoes that appeared to be very light and flexible. Women wore long dresses with long sleeves, practically no skin was exposed much like with the men and women wore their hair (or wigs) in long braids.

College Visit

In Batumi we had the chance to go into a local college and meet some language students where we were able to talk to them and learn more about each others cultures. This was a very fun thing to do that was similar to that of what we did on the Uzbekistan trip, just with much less students. We learned that college is not as expensive there as compared to in America, and were told about the lifestyles of the students and their families. Most of the students still have strong connections with their families compared to in America where many families will have the kids move out as soon as they are able. Familial ties seemed to be a consistant strong point there whereas many people in America have poor relations with family.

Dolphin Show

A few hours after the College visit we went to a dolphinarium where we saw a dolphin show. I think this is something that ties into what I was saying in the culture section where the country is hoping tp add more tourist attractions. The Dolphins there were very well trained and appeared to have strong connections with the trainers which was cool to see. I believe this also says things about the countries connection to marine life, as they are connected to the Black Sea I would imagine they would care greatly about the health of marine life.
